John, Dougie and I participated in a couple of songs on this album by Peter Bennett, the artist I had known in London in the early 1970s. The recording sessions, in which my friend Derek Beauchemin was also present, took place at Devonshire Studios in North Hollywood.
The group Weather Report were also recording there their album 'Mr. Gone', and one day Joe Zawinul and Jaco Pastorius came to our room and asked if anyone could clap for one of their tunes. John and I volunteered, so we went to the corridor outside their room and the four of us recorded the hand-claps for the song 'River People'.
