I got back to London in the middle of the night after a tour with the Bees but I was up early. I was due at a session the very next day. A guy named Jonathan Kelly had asked me to play on a track or two on his record.
I rolled up to Trident Studios with my drums in a cab and went in. This was a nice studio. I was introduced to his producer-engineer, a guy named Ken Scott who would work for Supertramp shortly afterwards.
Ken showed me where to set up and we got on with it. I remember it going well and it didn’t take long before everyone was happy. Thanks all around, and I was anxious to get home. I was beat.
