Kathryn: Your Name Change

Good Afternoon,

Hello fellow former Glendale resident cool.  I am also from Glendale (born and raised).

My question is:  Why did you change your name from Bob Seinbenberg to Bob C. Benberg.  I recall reading, years ago, that it was because in England Seinbenberg was not a well like name or something to that affect.

While living in Glendale, do you recall a bakery on Glendale Blvd. and Los Feliz called Knudsen's Bakery?  Just curious.

Have a wonderful day.

Gerald Kellermann: Drums and more

Hello Bob,

first of all, great to see your website is active and you stay in contact with the community. Althoug I am quite young (23), I grew up listening to Supertramp's music and have been always amazed by the creativity of the music and even more by your drumming - which influences my playing.

I am wondering if the hardcopies of your solo albums you are selling on your website are also the remastered versions from 2021?

Thank you in advance.

Best regards

Gerald

John : Drums

Hello Bob,

When I was a wee lad I got the double album Supertramp live in Paris and wore it out.  I began playing drums and would listen over and over.  I really admire your approach and the way in which you make the drums a unique instrument.  Lot's of tasty stuff use of space and sounds that are amazing.  I have a similar question as another musician on here it seems, I was also curious about the performance on Give a Little Bit.  I feel it is not played correctly in cover versions I have watched and I would like to really get it down.  I feel like it is a military snare feel but not sure if using one hand or using two hands.  Meaning using the right hand as though it's a hi hat and the left as a snare, if that makes sense, like a train beat feel.  Thank you for the music of Supertramp and for your drumming being a big influence.  I hope you are doing well.  J
