October 2024
Hi folks... As promised, this is something Scott Gorham and I put together while he was staying in Woodland Hills with me in 1985. My studio was up and running and Scott was trying to organize putting a new band together.
He and I spent the afternoon in the studio and he put down the guitar riff alongside my Linn Drum 2 drum box. Then he had to split to his rehearsal.
I started arranging it, adding keyboards to the basic riff and guitar arrangement. When he returned he was stoked with what I added and Scott put on some bass.
The very next day my brand new set of Simmons electronic drums arrived. Got em set up and played along with what we had already recorded. Along the way Scott added an extra rhythm part and a few guitar fills.
A year or so ago I added a couple other things. I took it to Jesse and he sprinkled in a few nice ideas and put a pro mix on it.
It is called “Los Verdugos”. In honor of our Glendale Heritage surrounded by the Verdugo Mountains, Verdugo Road and a yearly Festival, ‘The Days of the Verdugos’. All originally founded by a Spanish land grant in the 1800’s.
Please go ahead and download it for you enjoyment. All I ask is that if you choose to use it in any commercial way, please know it is covered under my publishing company of Unstable Music. And in that case there will have to be a little biz done. You can always reach me thru Abel or Juan.
And as always, thank you Abel and Juan. I have promised them I will try to be more active on the page.
Hope you like it,
Bob.
